SMBP has invested in a state-of-the-art billing system through Inspiration Technology, Inc., called Imagine. Imagine software is a “next generation” billing system designed specifically for high-volume specialties and includes technologies that are typically available only as “add-on” modules. This software is unique in that it allows for distributed work lists to easily automate and manage workflow. It also allows for real-time management reporting. SMBP has a close working relationship with Inspiration Technology in the continued development and enhancement of the Imagine system.

SMBP also partners with Data Media. Data Media also has a partnership with Inspiration Technology. Data Media is our primary clearinghouse for all electronic claims. In addition, Data Media performs a second screening of all claims to ensure a greater number of claims are paid the first time thereby reducing denials. We also download files to Data Media for mailing of paper statements to patients and small insurance companies.
